Your local guide
Adam Pretorius
Physician relocation is at the heart of my real estate practice. I help people connect a new professional opportunity with the housing decisions and everyday details that make a move feel manageable.
I bring more than 25 years in the Iowa City area, a University of Iowa business and finance background and MBA, and a particular interest in architecture, design, and construction. My approach is simple: understand the move first, then build a thoughtful plan.

Move Forward by Design.
A home search involves more than a list of rooms and a price range. Your work locations, available time, expectations for the property, and plans beyond the move all deserve a place in the conversation.
We begin with those priorities. From there, we can identify communities to explore, organize a visit or remote search, and focus attention on the homes that merit a closer look. The goal is to make each next step clear.
A useful perspective on the house itself.
My work with new construction and remodeling informs how I look at a property. Layout, materials, condition, and the scope of potential changes all help shape a decision.
During a search, I help you articulate what you are seeing and which questions need further evaluation. That might mean considering an existing home's potential, understanding a new home's features, or bringing in an appropriate professional for a more specific assessment.
Local knowledge, personal attention.
I work with physicians, University of Iowa faculty, and other clients through Lepic-Kroeger, REALTORS®. Licensed team member Andrew Kubinski supports our clients as we coordinate the practical work of buying and selling.
This guide is an introduction to the area and to the questions we can explore together. Our conversations and your relocation materials make the information more personal: your timing, your priorities, and the places that fit your life.

Do I need to know exactly what I want before reaching out?
No. An initial conversation can help identify your priorities and the information you still need. You can start while considering an opportunity or once your move is confirmed.
Can we begin the conversation from out of town?
Yes. Share your work locations, anticipated timing, and housing questions. We can discuss an approach that accounts for your travel and schedule.
